The Melbourne Ayyappa Seva Sangam Limited (MASS) is a not for profit Multilingual Hindu religious organisation which promotes devotional value of Lord Sree Ayyappa Swamy and hails his neutral respect of other religions.

MASS would love to see you in our community with all of our hard work and support along with Lord Sree Ayyappa Swamy’s blessings to achieve to build a traditional Lord Sree Ayyappa Swamy Temple in Melbourne Victoria.

Initial history :

In early 2000 a group of devotes Mr Rajendran kailasam, Mr Sundararaj NaganVaradaraj, Mr Ghajan Ghanesan and Mr Sraghu Shivanu organized Sree Ayyapa Swamy Pooja and bhajans at Sree Shiva Vishnu temple, Carrum downs in Lord Sree Ayyappa Swamy sanithanam followed by a Holy 18 steps Padi Pooja.

The next year the first Mandala pooja and Magaravilakku uthsavam was conducted at Sree Shiva Vishnu Temple, Carrum downs, Victoria. Since then increasing number of devotees attending Sree Ayyappa Swamy pooja due to massive influx of migration from Southeast Asia.

In year 2008 the Melbourne Ayyapa Seva Sangam was officially formed and conducted the first Mandala Pooja and Annadhanam at Gaelic Park, 324 Perry road, Keysborough Victoria. The Mandala pooja contained Sree Maha Ganapathi Pooja, Sree Subramanya Swamy Pooja, Sree Bagavathi Pooja ,Sree Ayyapa Swamy Abishekam, Bhajans, Holy 18 steps Padi pooja and Annadhanam. The first Mandala pooja attracted nearly 500devotees from all over Victoria.

In year 2010, the Mandala pooja was conducted with the new Panchaloka Ayyapaa vigragha (statue) from India.

Mission :

Our mission is serving the community by promoting devotional and cultural values of lord Sree Ayyappa Swamy and bringing together all Lord Sree Ayyappa Swamy devotees all over Australia and world to achieve our vision.

Vision:
To build a traditional Lord Sree Ayyappa Swamy temple with holy 18 steps in Melbourne Victoria with Bhajan madam, Annadhana mandapam, Cultural hall and Priest house.

Significant milestones achieved by Mass:

2011: MASS started conducting monthly pooja’s at devotee’s houses in line with sabarimala calendar.
2012: Mass was registered as incorporated association with Consumer Affairs Victoria and Australian Taxation Office.
2014: MASS conducted first ever Mandala Pooja in Australia as per Sabarimala tradition with two priests from India.
2016: MASS started conducting monthly poojasin line with Sabarimala calendar in neutral venue, initially it was conducted in 2 Harris street, Lynbrook, Vic -3975 and currently its conducted in Amma Ashram 842 Frankston – Dandenong Rd, Carrum Downs VIC 3201.
2019: Melbourne AyyappaSeva Sangam Limited was registed with ASIC and Melbourne AyyappaSeva Sangam ceased its operations due to transfer of registration with ASIC.
04/2019: MASS successfully completed Stage -1 of the Temple project – Land acquisition (1915 Dandenong- Hastings road , Pearcedale Vic 3912 ).

Strategic plan:

Promoting and expanding MASS.
Increasing number of devotees participation for monthly poojas and conducting monthly pooja upcoming years in the Temple land.
Fundraising from members and across the community to Build Balalayam( Temporary temple) as per Hindu TanthrikAgama Sasthra.
Fundraising for permanent temple construction.
Building the Bhajanmadam ,Anndahanamandapam and Cultural Hall with Library
